PL 2: Two Nigerian sensations score as Tottenham edge Middlesbrough

Two Nigerian sensations, Callum Latif Olusesi and Oyindamola Ajayi, were on target as Tottenham Hotspur secured a 6-1 victory over Middlesbrough in the Premier League 2.

Tottenham Hotspur scored first in the opening five minutes through an amazing effort from Yusuf Akhamrich, while Oliver Irow doubled the lead in the 19th minute.

Just one minute later, Callum Latif Olusesi found the back of the net to extend the lead to three-nil. In the 39th minute, Akhamrich got his brace, slotting past Connor in goal for the visitors.

Tottenham continued their dominance in the second half with Oyindamola Ajayi scoring one minute before the hour mark. With ten minutes to the end of the game, Akhamrich scored the sixth goal for Spurs, his hat-trick on the day.

With three points already secured, Callum Latif Olusesi was replaced in the 81st minute with Miracle Adewole introduced as his replacement.

In the 88th minute, Hazeem Bakre got a consolation for Boro, slotting past substitute goalkeeper Elliot Krasniqi after a nice layoff from Frankie Coulson.

Although Olusesi didn’t feature for the entirety of the match, Oyindamola completed the full 90 minutes. Both youngsters have been key for Tottenham, displaying their qualities with the U21s and training with the first team.

While Olusesi has scored four goals in 9 Premier League 2 games, Oyindamola Ajayi has scored one and assisted in the same amount of games.

Olusesi was among the Spurs squad that traveled to Istanbul for the UEFA Europa League game against Galatasaray. However, Oyindamola Ajayi was listed in the squad that faced Ferencváros in October.
