It is surprising that Ademola Lookman was not included in the shortlist for the FIFPro World 11.
Lookman, who scored a hat-trick to lead Atalanta to victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League Final and ranked 14th in the Ballon d’Or standings, was notably absent from the list.
The award is determined by professional players who vote from a preliminary list of 250 names, with the final selection consisting of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards, and an additional outfield player who receives the highest number of votes.
The final XI will be announced on December 9.
