Former Fenerbahçe winger Tümer Metin has heaped praise on Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, describing him as an “incredible player” following his stellar performances in the Turkish Super Lig with Galatasaray.
Speaking to TV100 via Haber Sari Kirmizi, Metin highlighted Osimhen’s exceptional hunger for goals and his ability to unite and inspire his teammates on the field.
“I liked Osimhen very much again. An incredible desire, an incredible enthusiasm and an incredible search… I haven’t seen such hunger in a football player for a long time,” Metin said.
Metin likened Osimhen’s influence to a magnetic force, commending the striker’s ability to elevate the team’s spirit and performance.
“He goes with a hunger that brings the same feeling to everyone. He supports him, pulls him to his side, it’s like he’s gathering all the players around him with a rope around his waist. It’s an incredible image,” Metin added.
The former Turkish international was particularly impressed by Osimhen’s relentless focus during matches, calling it a rare trait among footballers.
“I have seen very few football players with such a strong feeling at every moment of the match, so concentrated between those three posts. In other words, you fall apart in between.”
Osimhen’s arrival at Galatasaray this summer has been transformative, with the Nigerian forward quickly becoming a fan favorite. His lethal finishing, work ethic, and leadership qualities have cemented his status as one of the standout players in the Turkish league.
