Kevin Maussi Martins, the son of former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Obagoal Martins, was on the bench as Monza fell 2-1 to Udinese at the Stadio Brianteo on Monday evening.
At just 19 years old, he has made a significant impact for Monza this season, standing out in the Primavera 1 league. His speed and technical skills have troubled opposing defenses, as he has participated in seven matches and contributed two assists.
Additionally, Kevin has made appearances with the first team this season, including his Serie A debut against Napoli and two matches in the Coppa Italia, where he provided one assist.
Born in Milan during his father’s stint at Inter, Kevin has a strong football heritage.
His rise is a promising development for Monza, as he aims to emulate his father’s successful career, which spanned several top European clubs and included international representation for Nigeria.
The youngster played for Inter Milan and AC Milan in the past.
