In a preparatory friendly match for the upcoming Africa Cup Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against the Black Galaxies of Ghana, the Super Eagles B team secured a narrow 3-2 victory over Seamoriow Football Academy at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Friday evening.
Sunday Megwo of Abia Warriors was instrumental in the win, netting two goals, while Tornadoes’ Papa Daniel added another to seal the victory.
This match is part of the team’s strategy to gear up for their upcoming two-legged clash against Ghana, with the first leg scheduled for December 22 in Ghana and the second leg on December 28, 2024, in Nigeria.
It is worth mentioning that Ghana had previously knocked Nigeria out of the last CHAN tournament in Algeria, winning after a penalty shootout following a 2-2 aggregate result.
