Flying Eagles eligible duo on target as Crystal Palace draw in exhilarating affair with Liverpool

Crystal Palace faced a challenging encounter in the English Premier League 2 against Liverpool on Monday, as reported by Futbalgalore.com.ng.

The match concluded with a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Crystal Palace Academy in Beckenham, Kent.

The Nigeria U20 eligible players, Asher Chris Ofega Agbinone and Jemiah Umolu, were included in the starting lineup for Palace and delivered impressive performances.

Agbinone, aged 19, found the net in the 27th minute, while Umolu, wearing the number 9 jersey, scored in the 75th minute.

Asher Chris Ofega Agbinone joined Crystal Palace at the U9 level and advanced through the youth ranks, making his Premier League 2 debut as a substitute against Leicester City in February 2024. He signed a scholarship deal prior to the 2022-2023 season and secured his first professional contract in October 2022.

In the summer of 2024, Crystal Palace acquired Jemiah Umolu after he was released by West Ham United.
