Liverpool Eye Flying-Eagles Eligible Striker Ogunsuyi Amid Impressive Youth Form

Premier League leaders Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing 18-year-old striker Trey Ogunsuyi from Sunderland, with the club keeping a close watch on his promising development.

Ogunsuyi, who has been in stellar form this season, has scored 14 goals in 16 games at youth level and even earned a place on the bench for Sunderland’s first team in the Championship.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Fichajes and English outlets like The Daily Mail confirming Liverpool’s interest.

The Reds are said to have been tracking Ogunsuyi for some time and are now reportedly preparing a concrete offer to secure his services.

However, a transfer is complicated by Ogunsuyi’s professional contract with Sunderland, meaning Liverpool would need to negotiate with the English second-tier club before making any move.

Liverpool are reportedly weighing their options, torn between pursuing a transfer in January or waiting until the summer to make their move.

Known for his versatility, Ogunsuyi has also impressed with the Belgium U19 team, further highlighting his potential. His ability as a striker, combined with his adaptability, has drawn praise from scouts and pundits alike, making him a highly sought-after prospect for the future.

However, the youngster is eligible to represent Nigeria at the CAF U20 AFCON tournament in South Africa.
