Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand has advised Arsenal to pursue the signing of Victor Osimhen in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Gunners are actively seeking a true number nine to address their recent struggles in front of goal.
Having gone four consecutive matches without scoring from open play, Arsenal risks losing ground in the Premier League title race.
This season, Kai Havertz, primarily a midfielder, has been utilized as Arsenal’s central striker, and Ferdinand asserts that it is crucial for the club to acquire a dedicated forward.
“Now, you ain’t having a number nine that’s coming on impacting games,” Ferdinand said.
“But I don’t even think you’ve got to buy an Osimhen, although I would buy Osimhen.
“But I’m saying like, you haven’t even got to buy the best out there who’s available. You’ve got to buy someone who can come in and impact games.”
