The Black Galaxies are gearing up for an important match this Sunday as they face Nigeria in the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier.
Their preparations have become more focused, with the team training at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday following earlier sessions at the University of Ghana.
Recently, the Galaxies enjoyed a confidence-boosting 2-0 victory over Togo in a friendly match in Lome, showcasing their readiness for the upcoming challenge.
Training commenced weeks ago at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, where a dedicated 32-man squad has been engaged in intensive drills.
The first leg of this two-legged qualifier will take place in Accra, while the return match is scheduled for Saturday, December 28, in Nigeria.
After their success against Nigeria in the qualifiers for the 2023 CHAN tournament, coach Didi Dramani’s team is eager to achieve a similar outcome to secure their place in the 2025 CHAN competition, which will be co-hosted by Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.
