Nigeria’s interim head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, will make his debut in charge of the Super Eagles B this Sunday as they face Ghana in an Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Super Eagles B arrive in the capital with a squad that lacks significant experience.
With Badmus Nurudeen omitted from the lineup, either Bankole Kayode or Ozoemena Ani is set to take the goalkeeper position, with Kayode, who plays for Remo Stars, likely to be chosen.
It will be Kayode’s task to keep Albert Amoah and his teammates from scoring.
Ogunmodede’s preference for a three-man defense means that Nduka Junior, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, and Stephen Manyo are competing for a spot alongside Victor Collins.
Sodiq Ismail and Imo Obot, representing Remo Stars and Enyimba respectively, are expected to round out the defensive lineup.
In midfield, Jide Fatokun is anticipated to start, with the experienced Rabiu Ali leading the side.
Rangers player Isaac Saviour is expected to occupy the role just behind forwards Sikiru Alimi and Anas Yusuf.
Projected starting lineup for Nigeria: Kayode Bankole, Sadiq Ismail, Imoh Obot, Victor Collins, Nduka Junior, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Jide Fatokun, Rabiu Ali, Isaac Saviour, Anas Yusuf, Sikiru Alimi.
