Arsenal may consider a significant investment to secure Victor Osimhen, according to sources.
The club is keeping a close eye on Osimhen for a possible transfer in January, aiming for a high-profile acquisition, as reported by Football Insider.
In the latest episode of the Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke noted that many top clubs are interested in the 25-year-old, especially if he becomes available at a reduced price in the upcoming window.
However, he cautioned that Arsenal might need to make a substantial financial commitment to bring the Nigerian forward on board, and it remains uncertain if they will take that step in January.
Currently, Osimhen is on loan at Galatasaray, but if Napoli has a recall clause, there could be an opportunity for a transfer. Chelsea had shown strong interest in him during the summer transfer window, working diligently until the final hours to finalize a deal. However, with Nicolas Jackson’s performances, Chelsea no longer views Osimhen as a critical addition.
Arsenal has faced challenges in scoring this season, with an over-reliance on set pieces becoming a concern for Mikel Arteta’s team.
