AS Monaco Lead Chase for Belgian League Top Scorer Tolu Arokodare

French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco are currently leading the race to sign Belgian league top scorer Tolu Arokodare.

According to Footmercato, Arokodare’s representatives are already in talks with Monaco, despite Genk not yet receiving a formal bid from the French club.

The 24-year-old striker, who previously featured in the French second division with Amiens SC, is the current top scorer in the Belgian league with 13 goals. He has netted 14 goals and provided six assists in 22 matches across all competitions.

Arokodare, who has caught the attention of the Nigerian national team, recently received praise from Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen for his impressive performances.

A move to France will further improve his chances of playing for the national team. Despite his form in Belgium, Tolu is yet to make his debut with Nigeria due to the quality of strikers in the team.

Arokodare had been invited to the Golden Eaglets camp in his early days. However, he couldn’t play for Nigeria before moving to Europe.
