Deborah Abiodun has officially signed with Washington Spirit following an impressive two-year stint with the Pittsburgh Panthers, where she emerged as a key player.
Throughout 34 matches, the Super Falcons midfielder recorded ten goals and three assists, earning recognition on the All-ACC teams in both of her seasons.
In 2023, Abiodun was honored with selections to the all-conference Freshman and Third teams, and she received Second Team All-ACC accolades in 2024. On the international stage, Abiodun boasts significant experience with the Nigerian senior national team.
She was included in the Super Falcons’ roster for the 2023 World Cup and the 2024 Olympics. Abiodun has signed a three-year contract with an option for 2028 and will fill an international roster spot for the Spirit.
