Former Nigerian international Julius Aghahowa has heaped praise on Super Eagles defender Ola Aina, lauding his impressive performances for Nottingham Forest this season.
Aina has been widely regarded by fans and pundits as one of the best right-back in the English Premier League so far this campaign.
His form has reportedly caught the attention of Manchester City, who are considering him as a potential replacement for Kyle Walker, whose performances have dipped this season.
Speaking on Brila FM’s No Holds Barred with Ifeanyi Udeze, Aghahowa praised Aina’s all-round contributions, both defensively and offensively, as key to his standout performances.
“This season so far, the best right-back in the Premier League is Ola Aina. You see him on both ends he’s effective in defense and attack,” Aghahowa remarked.
Aina’s contract with Nottingham Forest is set to expire in the summer. While the club has reportedly begun talks with his representatives regarding an extension, speculation about a move to Manchester City continues to grow.
