Joseph Yobo Weighs in on Victor Osimhen’s Potential Move to Manchester United

Former Super Eagles captain and defender Joseph Yobo has commented on the potential transfer of Napoli-owned striker Victor Osimhen to Manchester United.

Osimhen, frequently linked with top European clubs, is now rumored to be a target for Old Trafford. Speaking to Africafoot, Yobo expressed confidence in the match between Osimhen and Manchester United.

“For me, it’s a no-brainer. Victor and Manchester United are a perfect fit, and there’s no doubt he would thrive if they signed him,” Yobo said. “Even though they’re struggling in the transition, Manchester United are still among the top three clubs in the world, and that’s not going to change anytime soon.”

Yobo further encouraged Osimhen to consider working under United’s new manager Rúben Amorim, praising the coach’s abilities and vision.

“If you ask me, I’ll be honest with you; Victor [Osimhen] should take the offer, if it comes. Their project is exciting with a new coach in [Ruben] Amorim, who is one of the best of his generation. If Amorim wants to trust Victor to be one of the leaders of this project in transition, yes, I think he shouldn’t think twice, he should take it.”

Osimhen, who netted 31 goals last season, played a pivotal role in Napoli’s Serie A triumph after more than three decades. Currently on loan at Galatasaray, he has impressed with 13 goals in 16 matches this season, drawing attention from multiple elite clubs.
