Sevilla Open to Selling Kelechi Iheanacho Amid Premier League Interest

Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta has confirmed the club’s willingness to sell Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho during the current transfer window.

Iheanacho, who joined the La Liga side less than six months ago, is reportedly pushing for a move away from the Rojiblancos. Premier League clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town are actively pursuing the 28-year-old Nigeria international.

Speaking to Spanish outlet Eldesmarque, Orta stated that Sevilla would not obstruct any of their top players, including Iheanacho, from seeking transfers.

“The market is open, we are obliged to study all offers. Players have their feelings, anything can happen with any name,” Orta remarked.

Iheanacho joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer after parting ways with Leicester City. Since his arrival, he has scored three goals in nine appearances across all competitions under head coach Garcia Pimienta.

Sevilla’s openness to negotiations could see the talented forward make a swift return to English football, with interest from multiple Premier League sides intensifying.
