The Cool Hopefuls Cup is set to make its inaugural appearance on February 10, 2025, at FC Ebedei Stadium in Apele-Sagamu. This exciting pre-season scouting event for Nationwide League One invited teams is proudly sponsored by Ebedei Sports College.
Tunde Shamsudeen, a prominent media personality and the event’s coordinator, expressed enthusiasm about the tournament, stating, “The Cool Hopefuls Cup is a unique opportunity that unites top teams, fosters youth football, and opens doors for rising stars.”

The Cool Hopefuls Cup is poised to become a highlight of Ebedei Sports College’s football calendar, showcasing clubs brimming with talent from the NLO.
Featuring an 8-team format, the tournament will include teams from both the Nationwide League One Division One and the NLO U19 Youth League, divided into two groups of four: Group A and Group B.
Each team will engage in a round-robin competition, with the top four teams—two from each group—moving on to the semi-finals, culminating in the final showdown.
Additionally, the preseason event will serve as a vital scouting opportunity, with top scouts in attendance to observe all 15 matches. All games will take place on the two state-of-the-art pitches at FC Ebedei Stadium and will be broadcast live on FC Ebedei TV.
