Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo’s future at Stamford Bridge has been clarified by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who dismissed speculation linking the player to Brighton during the winter transfer window.
Adarabioyo, a former Fulham defender and Manchester City academy graduate, has risen to prominence in recent weeks. Initially struggling for game time, injuries to key defensive players have allowed him to cement his place in the starting lineup. The 27-year-old has also contributed impressively in attack, netting three goals in his last two appearances for the Blues.
The defender’s strong performances had reportedly attracted interest from Brighton, with speculation suggesting the Seagulls were preparing to make a move in January. However, Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, dispelled the rumors, emphasizing that Adarabioyo remains a vital part of Chelsea’s plans.
“Tosin Adarabioyo scored for Chelsea, three goals in the last three games,” Romano noted. “Tosin at the moment is absolutely not a player considered for a sale by Chelsea and the same on the player side, very happy at Chelsea, and very happy with Maresca.”
Romano further added that Chelsea may offload other players in similar positions, such as Axel Disasi and Renato Viega, but Adarabioyo is deemed untouchable. “The player who could leave Chelsea in that position is Axel Disasi . The other one is Renato Viega.” he added.
