The Nigerian forward has signed a contract with Sevilla that extends until 2029 and was present for the match against RCD Espanyol on Saturday.
An agreement has been finalized with Montpellier HSC for the transfer of Akor Adams.
The 24-year-old striker arrives after making 15 appearances for the French club this season, during which he scored three goals and provided three assists.
Adams joined Montpellier in August 2023 from the Norwegian team Lillestrøm SK. In his inaugural season in France, he was a consistent presence, featuring in 33 matches across all competitions, netting ten goals and contributing two assists.
Prior to this, he made his first move to Europe in the summer of 2018, transitioning from Jamba Football Academy in Nigeria to Sogndal IL in Norway’s second division.
Over three and a half seasons, he played 56 matches, scoring 16 goals and assisting six times. His impressive performances attracted the attention of Lillestrøm SK in the Eliteserien, Norway’s top division, where he signed in 2022. In his debut season, he scored 11 goals in 33 appearances and made his European competition debut in a UEFA Conference League qualifier against SJK Seinajoki from Finland.
The following summer, after an outstanding run of 17 goals in 17 matches that placed him at the top of the European Golden Shoe standings, he accepted an offer from Montpellier. On the international stage, he represented Nigeria twice at the Under-20 level during the 2019 Under-20 World Cup held in Poland.
