Despite holding verbal talks, Manchester United are out of race to sign Osimhen due to two issues

Manchester United are reportedly out of the race to sign Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian forward in the upcoming summer window.

Osimhen, who has been making waves in Turkey, has been linked to the Red Devils due to the inconsistent performance of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund.

The 26-year-old hit-man has an astonishing return of 19 goals and five assists in 24 games in all competitions for the Turkish giants.

His performance attracted several clubs across Europe including Manchester United, who have reportedly held discussion with the player over the possibility of a summer move.

Despite the discussion, Manchester United are considered out of the running to sign the Nigerian forward, according to teamtalk.

The Red Devils current league position has put them out of running as the Nigerian forward would prefer a team who will play in the Champions League next campaign.

Additionally, the outlet also suggestted that the Manchester United couldn’t afford the player’s financial demands due to their financial situation.

Osimhen is reportedly seeking for a deal worth about £200k per week.

With the summer window approaching, the future of Osimhen would draw attention ahead of the upcoming campaign.
