Injury concern for Victor Eletu as AC Milan midfielder withdrawn in first half against Atalanta

AC Milan midfielder Victor Eletu suffered a possible injury during his side’s 2-1 victory over Atalanta in the Primavera 1 league.

Eletu, who has been a standout performer for the Rossoneri this season, was forced off early in the first half after sustaining an injury.

The Nigerian midfielder started the game but had to be replaced by Lorenzo Ossola in the 11th minute.

Despite his absence, AC Milan U20 remained focused, breaking the deadlock just 14 minutes later through substitute Ossola.

Maximilian Ibrahimovic doubled the lead in the second half before Atalanta’s Gabriel Ramaj pulled one back for the visitors.

The injury is a setback for Eletu, who has been pushing for a promotion to Milan’s first team.

The 19-year-old midfielder has contributed two goals and four assists in 20 matches across all competitions this season.

Eletu will now hope for a swift recovery as he aims to earn a spot in Nigeria’s Flying Eagles squad ahead of the CAF U20 tournament.
