Flying Eagles eligible makes history with Chelsea in win over Southampton

Flying Eagles eligible forward Tyrique George has achieved an amazing feat for Chelsea during their 4-0 win against Southampton.

George, who has impressed at Chelsea, made the achievement with the assist for Marc Cucurella’s goal.

The 19-year-old has been a consistent performer for the first team despite still an academy player.

George has featured consistently for the senior side across all competitions including the UEFA Conference League and the Premier League.

He has impressed during his spell with the first team, scoring two goals and creating five assists across all competitions.

However, the assist against the Saints has put his name in the history book of Chelsea.

According to the Premier League website, at 19 years and 21 days, George is the youngest Blue to assist since Callum Hudson-Odoi in 2019.

George’s assist saw him become one of the youngest players in Chelsea history to provide a goal for a teammate, and the youngest since 2019.

With the achievement, the young forward would hope to get more minutes in the senior side and earn callup to the Flying Eagles ahead of the CAF U20 tournament in Cote D’Ivoire.
