Turkish pundit calls for Mert Hakan Yandaş to be penalized after osimhen altercation

Ali Naci Küçük, a renowned Turkish football pundit, has called for disciplinary action against Fenerbahçe midfielder Mert Hakan Yandaş following his altercation with Victor Osimhen during last Monday’s heated derby.

The clash occurred during Galatasaray’s goalless draw against Fenerbahçe at RAMS Park, where tensions flared between Osimhen and Yandaş. The incident has since sparked controversy, with Küçük criticizing Yandaş’s actions and demanding a penalty for his behaviour.

Speaking in an interview with the Futbol Arena YouTube channel, as reported by habersarikirmizi, Küçük expressed his disapproval of Yandaş’s conduct.

“There is another point that was overlooked in the derby. The argument between Osimhen and Mert Hakan Yandaş. Küheylan is a young man! He tells Osimhen to come here but takes 3 steps back. What does he do next? He shows his private parts to Osimhen. You gave Icardi a penalty last year. Will Mert Hakan Yandaş be penalized for his move on Osimhen? What is being a young man in Turkey? If you come here, you go. You don’t run away, Mert Hakan.!”

Victor Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray from Napoli in the summer, has been a standout performer for the Turkish giants. The Nigerian international has netted 20 goals and provided five assists in 27 matches across all competitions.

Osimhen will now look to maintain his fine form and help Nigeria secure crucial victories in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.
