Super Eagles defender Gabriel Osho set to extend stay at Auxerre

Nigerian international Gabriel Osho is set to extend his stay at French club AJ Auxerre after reaching an agreement on a new contract.

Osho initially joined Auxerre on a free transfer last summer, signing a one-year deal with an option for an additional two years.

According to reports, the club is now set to activate the two-year extension, keeping the center-back at Stade Abbé-Deschamps until 2027.

The 25-year-old defender has been a key figure for Auxerre, making 19 appearances across all competitions and contributing one goal.

His performances have earned him regular minutes under head coach Christophe Pélissier, solidifying his role in the team.

At the international level, Osho has earned one cap for the Nigerian national team. His continued development in Ligue 1 could further boost his chances of securing more call-ups for the Super Eagles in the future.

With this extension, Auxerre secures a valuable defensive asset as they aim for stability and progress in the French top flight.
