West Ham United is reportedly pursuing a loan deal for Chelsea center-back Tosin Adarabioyo during the upcoming winter transfer window, according to Foot Mercato. The Hammers are eager to strengthen their defense for the latter part of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
Currently sitting 14th in the league standings, West Ham has allowed 27 goals in 14 matches. The report indicates that the club is focused on addressing their defensive vulnerabilities, with Adarabioyo being a target for their transfer efforts.
The 27-year-old defender joined Chelsea on a free transfer from Fulham in July 2024 and has since made 11 appearances, starting in nine of those matches. However, he has not yet secured a regular starting position at Stamford Bridge, making a move to Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham United a viable option for gaining more playing time.
Adarabioyo brings valuable Premier League experience, having played 83 matches in the top tier for clubs including Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion, and Fulham.
At international level, Adarabioyo is eligible to play for Nigeria and England.
