Ademola Lookman has been named the 2024 African Footballer of the Year, marking a significant milestone that solidifies his reputation as one of the top players globally this year.
The forward for Nigeria’s Super Eagles triumphed over competitors including South Africa’s Ronwen Williams, Cote d’Ivoire’s Simon Adingra, Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, and Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy to secure the accolade.
With this victory, the award continues to be held by a Nigerian, following teammate Victor Osimhen’s win in the previous year.
