Former head coach of the Black Galaxies, Annor Walker, has expressed strong confidence in Ghana’s prospects of overcoming Nigeria in the first leg of the 2024 CHAN Qualifiers, set to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Walker, who previously guided the Black Galaxies to a triumph over Nigeria during the 2022 CHAN playoffs, is optimistic that the current coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, will replicate that success.
“The preparations at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence indicate that the team is well-equipped and ready to secure a victory at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday,” Walker stated during an interview with Asempa FM.
“I am certain that Didi Dramani will lead the team to win the first leg before they travel to Nigeria for the return match.”
The Black Galaxies are set to compete against the home-based Super Eagles in Accra, with the second leg scheduled to take place in Nigeria one week later.
The victor of this matchup will earn a place in the 2024 CHAN tournament, which is to be hosted in East Africa.
