Super Eagles midfielder Jide Fatokun has finalized a transfer to Al-Merrikh Sporting Club, a team that has won the Sudanese Premier League 19 times.
The player, who currently represents Remo Stars, has signed a two-year contract with the Sudanese club, as reported by the Burundian news outlet (@257foot) on social media.
Fatokun played a pivotal role in the Super Eagles B team, helping them qualify for the 2024 African Nations Championship.
He is anticipated to travel to Cairo shortly to complete the transfer process.
Due to ongoing political unrest in Sudan, both Al Merrikh and their rivals Al Hilal are presently participating in the Mauritanian Super D1.
Jide Fatokun has previously played for Sunshine Stars and Kwara United.
