Nigerian born defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who will dorn the Chelsea colours, has reported for the team’s pre-season training.

Adarabioyo recently joined Chelsea after declining to renew his contract with Fulham.

He signed a four-year contract with the club, which officially commenced on July 1.

Since he was not part of the Copa America or the 2024 European Championship, he was expected to be among the first players to arrive for pre-season training, and he has now done so.

Manchester City trained Adarabioyo will aim to impress his new manager, Enzo Maresca, as he looks to secure a spot in the starting lineup.

The 26-year-old faces a tough challenge to secure a regular spot in the team, given the strong competition for positions at Chelsea. The reported interest in Riccardo Calafiori could further intensify the competition.

The Blues are scheduled to have their pre-season in the United States, with a total of seven games planned for both the men’s and women’s teams during this period.

The men’s team will begin with a match against Wrexham on July 24, followed by games against Celtic, Club America, and Manchester City.

The pre-season will conclude with a showdown against reigning UEFA Champions League champions Real Madrid at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 6.
