If it is possible’ – Bologna CEO Claudio Fenucci optimistic of signing Chukwueze in January

Claudio Fenucci, CEO of Bologna, is optimistic about securing the signing of Samuel Chuwkwueze, the Nigerian International in the winter window to fortify the forward position.

Chukwueze returned from an injury layoff over the weekend against Parma, scoring the third goal as the Rosseneri fought back to secure a 3-2 back at the San Siro.

Before the injury, Chukwueze struggled to adapt to life in Italy following his move from Villarreal in the summer of 2023, scoring just one goal in seventeen league games.

The performance raised uncertainty about his future at AC Milan, with several reports linking him with a move back to Spain, England, and Bologna.

With a few days left to the end of the market, Bologna CEO Claudio Fenucci addressed the speculation during an interview with press agency ANSA and reported via pianetamilan.it.

Fenucci expressed the willingness and readiness of the Italian club to complete the deal. “We are evaluating some things for the present and
future. If it is possible and a reinforcement, we will be ready,” said Fenucci.

It remains to be seen if Chukwueze would agree to join Bologna or decide to stay at AC Milan and prove his worth under Sérgio Conceição.
