Olympique Marseille are working on a deal to sign Sevilla striker Kelechi Iheanacho on loan this month.
Iheanacho is expected to leave Sevilla before the end of the winter transfer window. The Nigeria international joined the Rojiblancos on a free transfer last summer but has struggled to make an impact at the club.
Sevilla are willing to allow the former Manchester City player to leave on loan or a permanent transfer. The LaLiga club signed his compatriot Jerome Adams from Montpellier on Monday.
Iheanacho has several offers on the table but is now leaning towards a move to Marseille, according to reports emanating from France. Marseille have reportedly established contacts with Sevilla and the striker’s representatives.
The 28-year-old is expected to decide his future before the end of the winter transfer window.
