Super Eagles Coach to assess Ahmed Musa ahead of possible national team recall

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, is set to make a decisive call on Ahmed Musa’s potential return to the national team as he travels to Kano tomorrow to watch the veteran forward in action for Kano Pillars against Enugu Rangers in a high-profile Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash.

It was reported that Chelle will base his final decision on Musa’s performance in the encounter before determining whether to include the Super Eagles captain in his squad for upcoming international fixtures.

Musa, who recently returned from an injury that kept him out for four league matches, has been in impressive form for Pillars. He was named Man of the Match in their midweek victory over Akwa United and was a standout performer the last time Pillars faced Rangers in Enugu.

The 31-year-old winger’s experience and leadership remain invaluable to the Super Eagles, and a strong showing against Rangers could seal his return to the national team fold.

All eyes will be on Musa as he looks to prove his fitness and form ahead of Chelle’s final squad announcement.
