Super Eagles number 2 goalkeeper Maduka Okoye kept a cleansheet as Udinese humbled Cagliari 2-0 in the Serie A on Friday.
Udinese climbed up to fourth, thanks to goals from starting centre-forwards Lorenzo Lucca and Keinan Davis.
Maduka Okoye had now kept three cleansheets in the Italian top flight this term.
It took Udinese just eight minutes to capitalise on their numerical advantage. Lorenzo Lucca headed in his fourth league goal of the season, his sixth in all competitions. The Friulians have now scored more headed goals than any other team in Europe’s top five divisions this season.
Full back Kingsley Ehizibue also played a vital role in defence.
Davis powered in an excellent finish to make the scores 2-0 after 78 minutes. The Englishman collected the ball 35 yards out, took on two Cagliari defenders before slamming a powerful drive into the roof of the net for 2-0.
