Possible recalls in the Super Eagles Squad for November

The Super Eagles have already qualified for Morocco 2025, but they will still be looking to seal off their qualifying campaign with an undefeated record.

However, in November for their next couple matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda, a couple of key Nigerian players are back in stride, and will be thought of by caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen.

Cyriel Dessers: Dessers has played in a strong number Rangers’ matches in 2024/2025, making 18 appearances overall and netting eight goals. He certainly deserves to be recalled.

Zaidu Sanusi: The Porto man should be called up again after strings of impressing performances. He has played the last two matches for Porto B since returning from injury. Bruno Onyemaechi is the only left back in Zaidu’s way.

Gabriel Osho: Osho is an Auxerre defender who has appeared in the vast majority of the team’s Ligue 1 matches in 2024/2025, making eight appearances overall and playing 645 minutes. He has been selected in the starting XI in all eight of these appearances across their 10 fixtures. Semi Ajayi’s injury should see Osho as the possible option.

Joe Aribo: The midfielder is back in full gear, looking as crisp as he did in the past. Surely Egu should be calling Aribo back up to return to the squad. He has been impressive for Southampton in the Premier League this term.

In conclusion, there are many players competing for each position. Eguavoen has done a superb job making players fight and earn their positions, and this only makes the Super Eagles squad stronger. Only time will tell the future roles for each player in the squad.
