Following a successful two-match friendly series against Algeria’s Green Ladies in Nigeria, the Super Falcons, nine-time African champions, are scheduled to compete against France’s Senior Women National Team, Les Bleues, in a prominent friendly match in France on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
The Super Falcons achieved victories of 2-0 and 4-1 against the Green Ladies in matches held in Ikenne-Remo and Lagos, showcasing the potential of several home-based professionals under the guidance of coach Justine Madugu.
This upcoming match against Les Bleues will be hosted at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Angers, with the kick-off slated for 9:30 PM local time in France.
While the Bleues view this match as a crucial part of their preparations for the upcoming League of Nations in the spring and the 2025 UEFA Euro Women Championship in Switzerland during the summer, the Falcons see it as an opportunity to integrate new players and as a vital test ahead of the 2025 Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next summer.
This will mark only the seventh occasion that Les Bleues have played in the city of Angers.
