Turkish football powerhouse Fenerbahçe have presented a lucrative new contract to Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel, including a substantial signing-on fee.
With his current deal set to expire next summer, the Istanbul giants are eager to secure the services of the 26-year-old beyond the 2023/24 season.
During a meeting between Fenerbahçe’s sporting director, Mario Branco, and Osayi-Samuel’s representatives, the club outlined an attractive proposal that includes: a two-year contract with an option for an additional year, an annual salary of €2 million, and a €1.3 million signing-on fee.
While the offer highlights Fenerbahçe’s commitment to retaining the versatile defender, Osayi-Samuel has attracted several interests from England.
The Super Eagles ace, who has been instrumental in Fenerbahçe’s domestic and European campaigns, now faces a crucial decision about his future.
Osayi-Samuel joined Fenerbahçe in January 2021 from Queens Park Rangers and has since become a key player for the Turkish side. Known for his versatility, he has seamlessly transitioned from winger to full-back, earning praise for his defensive and attacking contributions.
With negotiations ongoing, all eyes are on the Nigerian international as he weighs Fenerbahçe’s offer against the prospect of a return to English football.
