Toluwase Arokodare scored his 10th league goal today for Genk, the leaders of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, in a match against Sint Truiden VV that ended in a 2-2 draw.
The 24-year-old forward, who is being monitored by the Super Eagles, sparked some debate by celebrating his goal in front of the opposing fans.
He found the net in the 27th minute, and it took three minutes for VAR to confirm that the goal was valid and not offside.
Genk continues to lead the league standings with 35 points from 16 matches, maintaining a four-point advantage over their nearest competitors, Club Brugge.
Arokodare has taken part in every one of the side’s 16 First Division A games in 2024/2025, starting in all 16.
Next up in the league for Genk is a home match against Kortrijk on December 7.
